I wanted to let you know what my experience was with your game, since it was such a blast. I’m currently running a pathfinder campaign and half of my group is abroad, so we decided to run alternate rule sets with the same character. As a surprise, I tossed your game in there without telling them. They were not aware of this, nor did I tell them the rules ahead of time. This is how it went:
The characters were being harassed by a demon who is trying to mess with their sanity. After threats of an earthquake, they found their way into the pantry of an old underground prison for safety. As they were trying to find if there was anything of interest in the pantry, the door fadded into a wall locking them in and the walls began to glow green with menacing laughing in the background. As they were trying to figure out what was going on, they blacked out and heard the following in their head “Welcome to ACTION CASTLE! You are in a cottage. There is a fishing pole here. Exits are out.” As this was spoken, a cottage appeared in front of them. They only say the cottage, not the rest of the group. As each person said things like “I walk over to the door” or “I reach my hand out and try to knock the fishing pole over”, I would inform them that their actions had no effect. After a few minutes of trying to figure it out, two of the guys playing figured it out almost simultaneously, and their faces lit up with excitement. One exclaimed “We’re in a MUD! GO OUT!” and much to his childish glee, the “avatar” that all 6 were inhabiting went out. It took a few rounds for them to figure out that they needed to go in order (I decided the order would be the order in which each new person delivered an order), but once they figured that out things went without a hitch. The best part of the game by far was when they figured out what was going on.
I thought I would share that story with you. Thank you very much for the fun we had, and that which is sure to come.
